Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris nominated Dr. Bruce Randolph as interim director of Shelby County Health Department on July 2.

"With just over a year to go in my role as Shelby County Mayor, my goal now is to preserve the opportunity to select a permanent director," said Mayor Harris.

Dr. Bruce Randolph has been appointed interim director of the Shelby County Health Department. Randolph, who has nearly 40 years of medical experience, is coming out of retirement to fill the role.
