The Dallas Cowboys have two more preseason games to play, but these players are doing their part to prove they belong on the initial 53-man roster.

The Rams and Cowboys won't play each other in the regular season, making this their lone matchup of 2025 unless they meet in the playoffs. Both teams are resting their top players, including Matthew Stafford, Davante Adams, Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, so it'll mostly be backups running the show.

Milton ranking as a loser is a win for Will Grier, who may now have a real shot at winning the backup job to Dak Prescott. Prescott hasn't played in a preseason game since 2019. He got the start at nickelback and was exploited early and often in Dallas' awful start to the game. He has likely fallen behind Mukuamu in the nickelback position battle.
