With migrant communities already living in fear amid the Trump administration's immigration crackdown, ICE raids in downtown Los Angeles sparked days of protests.

Opponents of President Donald Trump's administration on Saturday rallied in nearly 2,000 locations across the country, with thousands demonstrating in Northern California.

Riots in Los Angeles resulted in 10 deputies being injured by rocks, Molotov cocktails and pyrotechnics as law enforcement prepares for planned nationwide protests Saturday.

The protest comes before leaders vote on whether or not to pass a budget that is expected to lock new undocumented immigrants out of Medi-Cal.

Protests are slated for a seventh day as the sun comes up, with Marines possibly to be deployed within the next day. While that city remains the focal point for the protests, we're also seeing them ramp up nationwide.

They also blocked several corrections officers from leaving, and at one point, they touched a vehicle in the process.

Organisers said hundreds of demonstrations were held in a day of defiance to counter a huge military parade hosted by Trump.
