Stephen A. Smith may not have played his cards right. The polarizing ESPN personality is being criticized for playing the popular card game Solitaire during the Thunder’s 111-104 road win over the Pacers in Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Friday, with NBA star Kevin Durant joining in on the mocking.
“Listen, they could give away Bradley Beal if they could,” Smith continued. “They can’t because he has a no-trade clause. Can’t get rid of him. They’re stuck with him, which is why KD is the only asset you have.” Smith later said the Suns have to “do it for themselves” and this situation “can’t be about Durant” when negotiating the deal.
Kevin Durant, the Phoenix Suns star, is looking for a trade deal. According to an ESPN report, the 36-year-old has three preferred teams to head to.
Udonis Haslem was caught in the crossfire on Friday. The ESPN analyst and team vice president of player development for the Heat was in the middle of it on “The Pat McAfee Show” when insider Shams Charania joined as a guest to discuss the latest game of the NBA Finals and the offseason trade rumors, specifically those surrounding Kevin Durant.
At 36, Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant finds himself at a crossroads. His stint with the Suns appears to be over after parts of three seasons, with Phoenix seemingly looking to move his $55 million salary in a contract year before the 2026 season.
