ESPN is proposing one final offseason move for the Chicago Bears, which would reunite Ben Johnson with a former player.

I’m reminded of a couple of things every year I kick off this annual summer series. One, the Chicago Bears just haven’t been very good during my run here at Windy City Gridiron. More often than not, the Bears I rank as most important to the team’s upcoming season fail to come through big enough to make a difference.

The defense has seen its fair share of upgrades, too. And as the 2025 season inches closer, this Bears roster is receiving some early recognition. Two of its players -- Joe Thuney and Jaylon Johnson -- were recently ranked on Pete Prisco's Top 100 players entering the season.
