Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has proven that it can boldly go where no show has gone before with great success. The Paramount+ series has tackled a fairy tale, a musical, a partly animated crossover with Lower Decks, a murder mystery, and others. And in Season 4, as announced at San Diego Comic-Con, there will be a puppet episode!

Anson Mount’s Capt. Pike tasks Christina Chong’s La’an to run the nascent program through the wringer to see how it holds up. La’an, who loves a 1960s murder mystery series featuring an investigator named Amelia Moon, has Martin Quinn’s Scotty upload those stories into the holodeck’s programming, which then creates a new mystery for her to solve.

Three seasons in, Spock ( Ethan Peck) is indisputably the romantic lead of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. So far he's been embroiled in two overlapping love triangles, a conflicted Vulcan betrothal, and, as of this week, a kiss with the Enterprise's security chief, La'an Noonien-Singh ( Christina Chong ).
