There are just two races left in the 2025 regular season. Thanks to Shane van Gisbergen winning for an impressive fourth time on a road course this season, taking home the checkered flag at Watkins Glen, there will be a driver that will qualify for the postseason without a win.

For just the second time in 2025, the NASCAR Cup Series will race on a Saturday night with their annual stop in Richmond for the Cook Out 400, a highly anticipated event given Richmond's move from two race dates annually to just one.

Chase Elliott's first DNF of the season means he's out of the running for Regular Season Champion. After a clean first stage of racing in the penultimate race of the NASCAR Cup Series regular season at Richmond Raceway, three close cautions snowballed into a crash that collected 13 drivers.

For the first time this season, Chase Elliott will post a DNF. Elliott was one of 12 drivers collected in the Lap 198 “big one” in Saturday’s Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway.
