Ukrainian activists are calling for more protests of a law they say weakens the country’s anti-corruption bodies.

Thousands of people gathered in the capital and other cities across Ukraine on Tuesday evening to urge President Volodymyr Zelensky to veto the controversial bill.

Fighting corruption has been a central issue for Ukrainians since pro-Western protests a decade ago, and new curbs on the watchdog agencies have alarmed many.
