This week, the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, or TSMC, posted a record 61% increase in profits, compared to the same quarter last year. While impressive, it’s not altogether surprising to many analysts.

The Nasdaq Composite posted its latest record finish on Tuesday, supported by a jump in shares of heavyweight Nvidia, but the other Wall Street benchmarks dropped as a key inflation report and a flurry of bank earnings failed to excite investors.

Tech stocks were an outlier, though, and the Nasdaq composite rose 0.2% to set another record thanks to Nvidia, the market’s most influential stock.
