Charles Leclerc headlined a twice red-flagged final Formula 1 practice session ahead of the British Grand Prix, as tiny margins among the frontrunners set the scene for a closely fought battle for pole.

His team-mate Oscar Piastri was leading before he was handed a 10-second penalty for driving erratically behind the safety car. There is now a three-week break before Formula 1 heads to round 13 at the Belgian Grand Prix from 25-27 July.
