Not supporting link-rel-next/prev doesn't mean you need to remove pagination. Pagination existed before, and it'll continue to exist going forward.

Google said it saw sites approach pagination differently since it stopped supporting it, so the company feels that people are building great sites without the markup.

What would be if rel next rel prev gets retired what would be the next best thing to do with the pagination pages categories and things like that?
