The Valkyries' Kayla Thornton underwent successful surgery on Friday after injuring her right knee in practice earlier in the week.

While they made the fourth-most 3-pointers in the league before the break, the Valkyries shot just 30.7% from deep, which was the second-lowest percentage in the league. Golden State takes a league-high 30.5 3-point shots per game.

The Golden State Valkyries will be facing the Connecticut Sun on Sunday morning. In their first time meeting, Golden State came away with an 87-63 win against the Sun. Their game on Sunday at the Mohegan Sun Arena will be the first of five away games for the Valkyries.

The WNBA trade deadline is approaching. Prior to the 2025 season, the league announced Aug. 7 at 3:00 pm EST would be the deadline for all trading, giving teams
