CHICAGO — Chicago Sky guard Courtney Vandersloot will miss the remainder of the season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Vandersloot left Chicago’s 79-52 loss to Indiana in the first quarter and did not return.

Vandersloot's injury is a major loss for the rebuilding Sky, and in particular their young bigs, Kamilla Cardoso and Angel Reese. Hailey Van Lith, the No. 11 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, took Vandersloot place in the starting lineup for the second half on Saturday, and will likely assume that position for the rest of the season.

Chicago Sky guard Courtney Vandersloot sustained a torn right ACL in Saturday’s game against the Indiana Fever at the United Center and will miss the rest of the 2025 WNBA season, the team announced Sunday. An MRI on Saturday revealed the tear, and Vandersloot will undergo surgery.
