Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois, announced the return of its chaperone policy starting Thursday, July 17. Guests age 15 and younger must be accompanied by an adult chaperone, with new entry requirements and stricter ID checks.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Rockford is closed the week of July 14-20 while crews work to restore the park. The water park, 7820 Cherryvale N. Blvd. in Cherry Valley, has been closed since July 11 after storms rolled through the Rockford region.
