Shi Yongxin of Shaolin Monastery in Henan, China, was stripped of his ordination over alleged misconduct involving money and sexual relationships with women.

China's iconic Shaolin Temple monk is under official investigation over alleged funds mismanagement and violation of Buddhist rules. The investigation is also looking at allegations of embezzlement, maintaining relationships with more than one woman and having a child.

White Horse Temple abbot Shi Yinle will replace Shaolin head who is under investigation for alleged financial and sexual misconduct.
