A coalition of 22 Democratic states and Washington, D.C., is suing the Department of Health and Human Services to prevent Planned Parenthood from getting defunded under President Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act,

The court issued an injunction shielding ten Planned Parenthood affiliates from a provision in the budget bill to cut off funding for Medicaid contracting for poor women.

A federal judge in Boston ruled that a provision in President Trump’s policy bill targeting the organization most likely amounted to retaliation.
