Waived by the Boston Celtics on Thursday, JD Davison returned to the NBA on Saturday by signing a two-way contract with the Houston Rockets.

JD Davison, who was waived by the Celtics on Thursday, has agreed to a contract with the Rockets, agent Corey Marcum of EZ Sports Group tells NBA insider Chris Haynes ( Twitter link ).

To use the spot in a way that makes sense, the Celtics would need to find a player making less than Davison to keep from ending up where they started.
