The Federal Trade Commission has extended a claims period for players of the popular online video game “Fortnite.” The FTC says eligible consumers can still file a claim until July 9, 2025, if they have not already filed a claim related to a settlement reached last year.

Your Fortnite spending might finally pay off-literally. The Federal Trade Commission approved $126 million in refunds for nearly one million players caught in Epic Games' web of confusing purchase prompts and deliberately complex refund processes.

The FTC issued 629,344 payments to “Fortnite” players in December 2024, a first round of refunds that totaled more than $72 million. In this second round, the FTC says it will send 969,173 checks and PayPal payments between June 25 and June 26 to players who filed a valid claim.
