Holding the lead for the majority of the game, an error by the Tar Heels captain allowed an inning to continue and eventually lose the game for UNC, 4-3, ending their 2025 season.

The No. 5 seeded UNC baseball team (46-15) fell to Arizona (44-19), 4-3, on Sunday afternoon in Boshamer Stadium, eliminating the Diamond Heels from the NCAA baseball tournament.
