On Wednesday, shortly after iOS 9’s official release, Apple also released ‘ Move to iOS,’ its first ever app for Android users, created with the sole intention to make them leave.

Prior to this, WhatsApp users making the move from Android to iOS had to give up their chat histories (or find extremely convoluted ways to port their data over).

Apple makes the process of transferring data from an Android phone to an iPhone easy with its "Move to iOS" tool.

You can more easily switch from an Android phone to an iPhone via a tool called Move to iOS. We'll show you how.

Apple's 'Move to iOS' Android app makes it relatively painless to transfer your data to an iPhone or iPad.

Turn on your iPhone and follow the setup instructions. On the "Apps & Data" screen, choose Move Data from Android. Download the Move to iOS app from Google Play or scan the QR code on your iPhone.

On your iPhone or iPad, begin the normal setup process until you reach the Apps & Data screen. From here select the "Move Data from Android" option. A 10-digit code will then appear on the screen.

To start the process, Android users need to download the "Move to iOS" app from the Google Play Store. This can be done directly on the Android device, or via the web-based version of the store.
