The Savannah Bananas played “Banana Ball” baseball for a sellout crowd of 74,000 at Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium on Friday. They play again Saturday.

The Savannah Bananas, a Georgia-based, theatrically-driven baseball team founded by a Charlotte-area native, delighted more than 70,000 people on their first night in the Queen City.

With a pitcher on stilts, choreographed dancing during the third inning and rules to keep the game fast-paced and fun, the visitors sold out two games in Anaheim.
