Based on everything we've seen of it so far, The Outer Worlds 2 looks like a super solid sequel — but its freshly announced price point is bound to scrub away some of the positivity. As spotted on the game's Steam page,

The studio unveiled the release date as the first major announcement of the Xbox Games Showcase, and offered a new glimpse at the sequel with a gameplay trailer. This won't be the last we hear about the first-person shooter tonight.

The release date means that The Outer Worlds 2 will land almost six years to the day that its predecessor introduced us to Obsidian's take on sci-fi RPGs. The studio has put that time to great use, drastically advancing the complexity of the underlying systems and pushing more choice than ever before into combat and conversations.
