Smoke from Canadian wildfires is causing air quality concerns for millions of Americans in the Midwest and Northeast.  Air quality alerts were in effect Tuesday in several states, including Michigan and New York.

An upper-level ridge of high pressure will control the forecast all the way through the end of the week, but as a suddenly flow starts to move in by the time we get to Friday and looking ahead into the upcoming weekend, we will dial-in more summer heat, and more humidity into the forecast.

Red flag warnings remain in place for parts of Nevada, Utah, Colorado and Wyoming due to very dry conditions, low humidity and gusty winds.
