Mattel said in a post on the UNO Facebook page on Monday that other pop-up UNO Social Clubs are coming to bars in Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, and Austin. The company recently opened a pop-up UNO Social Club at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

Folks on social media went wild over the notion that UNO, the family card game, could be coming to Las Vegas as a new table game. But unfortunately, it was never in the cards.

But what is in the works is the UNO Social Club, which is coming to bars and other venues in Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago and Austin in August.

The announcement comes as Mattel also addressed recent online buzz surrounding a rumor that UNO would debut on a Las Vegas casino floor. In a lighthearted social media post, the company wrote, “While it’s not a reverse card, some things need to be worked out for Vegas to be ready.”

In what we can all agree is a very strange move, Mattel is transforming UNO into a luxurious, adult experience, with events in US bars and casinos.
