Evander Kane's time with the Edmonton Oilers is at an end and the news came about in a pretty unique way. On Wednesday morning, Kane himself broke the news of his own trade mere moments after NHL insiders hinted at the potential for a deal to send the Oilers forward to the Vancouver Canucks.
