Canada's Eugenie Bouchard, 31, retired following a hard fought, three-set loss to Belinda Bencic Wednesday night at the National Bank Open in Montreal.

Emma Raducanu has reached out to Eugenie Bouchard after the former world No. 5 retired from professional tennis on home soil at the Canadian Open. Bouchard took a wildcard into the WTA 1000 in Montreal to say goodbye and won her opening match before losing a tight three-setter to 17th seed Belinda Bencic on Wednesday night.

Montreal-born Eugenie Bouchard is playing in her final major professional tennis tournament before she retires here in her hometown at the National Bank Open.
