The Red Sox were reportedly looking into Pirates reliever Dennis Santana. That may be on hold after he was caught trying to fight fans during a game Thursday.

Santana, a 29-year-old right-handed pitcher who's in his second season with Pittsburgh, appeared to reach up to swing at a fan while he was in the bullpen. A security guard stood next to Santana as the incident occurred, and he was then separated from the fans and walked away.

The incident took place during the second game of Thursday's split doubleheader between the Pirates and Tigers.
