Delta Air Lines is testing AI to set ticket prices, but some lawmakers are questioning the use of the technology.
Delta has worked with Fetcherr for over a year. During a November 2024 Investor Day presentation, Hauenstein described the AI as a “super analyst” that works “24 hours a day, 7 days a week” to determine prices in real-time, calling the results “amazingly favorable.”

Delta’s personalized AI pricing tech is provided by travel firm Fetcherr, which also partners with Virgin Atlantic, Azul, WestJet, and Viva Aerobus. In Delta’s case, the AI will act as a “super analyst” that operates 24/7 to determine custom ticket prices that should be offered to individual customers in real time, per specific flights and times.
