As the race for NYC mayor heats up, Andrew Cuomo and fellow candidate New York State Sen. Jessica Ramos are expected to announce a ranked choice voting alliance Friday.

State Sen. Jessica Ramos is cross-endorsing former Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the race for mayor of New York City, News 4 has learned. Ramos, herself a Democratic candidate in the race, was expected to make the announcement alongside Cuomo on Friday morning.

The decision by Ms. Ramos, a state senator from Queens, is at odds with some of her past criticism of Mr. Cuomo, including comments questioning his “mental acuity.”
