Pop star Lizzo has added her voice to the online backlash surrounding Sydney Sweeney’s recent American Eagle ad. The singer shared a photoshopped image on Instagram, playfully imitating Sweeney’s pose while adding her own meme to the polarizing campaign.

Some internet users have also accused AE of ripping off a 1980s Calvin Klein ad campaign starring supermodel Brooke Shields, SJ Denim reported. The ad showed a 14-year-old Shields rolling on the floor and trying to put on her jeans while discussing how “the secret of life lies behind the genetic code.”

Several TikTok users called out the ad, arguing that it praised the “Euphoria” star’s blond hair and blue eyes.
